Is Your Child Struggling with Handwriting? ✏️

Hey Reader,

Handwriting challenges often show up quietly—your child avoids writing, complains of hand fatigue, or struggles to keep their letters legible. For many neurodivergent, multilingual, or third-culture kids, handwriting can feel like a constant frustration.

But, most handwriting issues aren’t about effort, they’re about unmet motor or sensory needs.

In my latest blog post, I share what I look for as an OT and what you can do at home, including:

  • Strengthening hands through play (yes, playdough counts!)
  • Adjusting pencil grips for comfort—not perfection
  • Creating posture setups that support writing stamina
  • Mixing up writing surfaces and positions to activate different muscles

You’ll also learn when it might be time to seek extra support, without waiting for a diagnosis or falling behind.

If you’re unsure where your child stands, my Virtual Parent Consultations are now open. These 1:1 sessions are made for cross-cultural families who want clarity, confidence, and real strategies tailored to their child.

You know your child best. I’m here to help you support them with care that fits who they are—and where you are.
